Meet the Owner
Hey ya'll! My name is Erika Falls. I'm a wife, mom, tattoo enthusiast, caffeine addict, and your all around atypical woman. I was born/raised in a small country community where my grandmothers taught me everything they knew about cooking and baking. All of the passed down secrets, all of the tricks of the trade, they wrote it down and passed on to me. The only thing that was never present was the need to flavor beverages. Coffee was drank black and tea was just sweetened. As I grew older I began tasting the different flavors that could be put in a drink and amazed at how it changed the taste. No one had taught me how to make a simple syrup before, so I set out to learn a new skill. Over the years, I really thought about what flavors I loved with what beverages and how I could make something better than the average store bought product. With this business, I really think I hit that nail right on the head! So don't be shy, tell me what you think, good or bad! I'm excited for the world to experience what Pretty Little Poison Coffee Co. is all about!
The Reason
This right here is my crazy, but lovely family. I am married to a wonderful man and I have three fantastic children, two teenagers and a little one. I was working a full-time job before the idea came to mind that I should start this journey. I left to be home with my little one while my husband continues to work full time. I have always been a firm believer in spending as much time with my children as I can, simply because they essentially grow up way too fast and I want as many memories as possible before they're grown and gone. Our family life can get hectic, just like anyone else's, but we make the best out of the time that we have together and enjoy every adventure we can! It is the biggest honor to be the wife and mom that I am to my sweet family. They are and always will be my reason.
The Products
First and foremost, because coffee is life, I knew that these syrups were something I had been missing from my life. As I sit outside with my chickens every morning I think to myself "Why am I paying for flavored coffees, when I can mix them up myself?" So with that in mind I stepped foot into the kitchen to get started and landed in this new venture, creating premium syrups for anyone and everyone's enjoyment. Rest assured, every batch of syrup that is made is done with a personal touch and throughout every step of the process the consumer is always in mind. Along with the first ingredient in every flavor being filtered water, each batch is filtered once more after the syrup is made. This is where the passion for this product plays a major role in this business. Even if it's not coffee that you enjoy, my goal and dream with this business is to create something that everyone can enjoy. I encourage people to taste different flavors of drinks that would normally make others raise an eyebrow. You never know what your tastebuds love until you provide them with the opportunity.
